LOS ANGELES, CA (March 16, 2023) – Today, Billboard and Dick Clark Productions announced that the “2023 Billboard Music Awards” (BBMAs) will take place on Sunday, November 19. Additional details regarding this year’s show will be announced soon. Formerly held in the spring, the BBMAs have celebrated music’s greatest achievements, honoring the hottest names in music today. Unique among music award shows, winners are determined by performance on the Billboard charts, the ultimate authority and measure of success in music. For nearly 30 years, the “Billboard Music Awards” have showcased spectacular performances, unexpected collaborations, buzzworthy pop culture moments, and the prestigious ICON Award, which honors record-breaking artists and their impact on music.

This year’s awards are based on music consumption reflected on Billboard charts dated November 19, 2022 through October 21, 2023. “Billboard Music Award” winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including audio and video streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and touring.
